Ristorante “Donna Rosa” is one of our closest partners at The Italian On Tour. It perfectly embodies the values of family and local traditions. Third generation chefs Toni and Lucia work tirelessly alongside their mother of 82 to offer the highest quality service and ingredients.
Many of their food creations are made using seasonal ingredients grown on a small farm nearby and in full respect of the land.
Our cooking classes are based here: a friendly place to learn how to make a pizza by hand, taste wine and get in touch with the territory that is home to some of the best black and white truffles in Italy.
Marche and Abruzzo are home to a plethora of world-class wine producers. We were drawn to Emidio Pepe because of their respect for the land, something that has been part of the family-run company well before the trending organic wine production of the last decade. This pursuit of quality is the reason that some vintages are missing in their cellar. Delivering only what is truly excellent, three-generations work tirelessly together to make the best Montepulciano in Italy and maintain their 120 year-old customs.
When travelling with us you will have the opportunity to experience their passion first-hand and taste the fruits of their labor in their biodynamic and organic wines which contain zero additives. Combined with the truly local and zero-km cuisine, eating at their Agriturismo on the hills of Abruzzo, walking to a cellar containing 300,000 bottles and tasting some of the best wine is a unique experience not to be missed on our tours in Italy.
