So scroll on down to read our honest, heartfelt, and AMAZING reviews that still make us smile every time we read them.

After a ton of research and discussion with the tour guide, I decided on this trip as my first trip to Italy. I embarked on this journey alone. Let me say that all of my expectations were exceeded. Chantelle and Giovanni are very insightful, educated and a cultured husband-wife team. I was greeted at the airport by them and my fellow tourists. From the start I felt like a friend that they looked out for and introduced to their local Italian friends – who were also the local experts (and lovely and friendly). There is an evidence of knowledge and passion that they exude. I have looked forward to this experience my entire life. What I wanted was an authentic experience as a local in Italy. This experience absolutely exceeded those expectations. Le Marche, Chantelle and Giovanni will forever hold a place in my heart!!

Best trip ever! Ascoli Piceno is a lovely town in Italy. It has great piazzas, good food and wonderful wine. The town is friendly. The tour itself was amazing. The itinerary was spot on- enough free time, interesting towns, great food and wine. Don’t just consider this tour—it is a must. The tour guide is an Italian native of Ascoli schooled in the US and Canada. His English is fluent. His wife is a Canadian expat who also speaks Italian. So, you get local expertise and great service!

My partner and I had an unforgettable trip to Ascoli Piceno in September on Chantelle and Giovanni tour. They were amazingly warm and helpful and I couldn’t recommend it more.

This tour, without a doubt, is the best we have ever done! The experience provided by Giovanni and Chantelle is second to none. The exceptional scenery, the out of the way amazing places, wineries and food, all worth the trip to Italy and you wouldn’t find them without The Italian On Tour. Our accommodation In Ascoli Piceno was perfect in quality and location. The Hotel staff were very obliging and nothing was too much trouble for them, a good example of the quality of the people Giovanni and Chantelle have partnered with to provide this exceptional Tour. Giovanni and Chantelle’s intimate knowledge of Ascoli Piceno and the region enable them to assist you with whatever it is you may be seeking, such as some local shopping, a visit to a beach for a swim or recommendations on where to eat or relax and soak up the local atmosphere. An additional dimension to their tour are the very interesting people who they have partnered with, like the provider of the cooking course, an amazing experience provided by an amazing person. To top it off, Giovanni and Chantelle are extremely genuine warm people whose style and manner make certain you enjoy the tour. Cant recommend it highly enough!

From the moment I arrived, The Italian On Tour made me feel so welcomed. The hotel was perfect. Clean, friendly staff, great food and my room was very comfortable with lots of space for luggage. My ride leader, Giovanni was exceptional. He and Chantelle are a fantastic team, very knowledgeable about history, food and culture—spot on with service and value. If you want to see beautiful scenery, mingle with locals in a quaint Italian city, have an amazing culinary experience and tour through the Italian countryside on your bike, The Italian On Tour is for you! I was blown away by the whole experience and was in awe the entire time! I will definitely go back in the future! As a side note: I highly recommend setting up a rental bike for your tour. To share my experience, I decided to bring my own bike with me from Canada, which in the end I regret as Air Canada lost it and we had to scramble to try and find a rental bike. I was so thankful that Giovanni took some of his personal time to help me sort out a rental, it really showed how much they care about their clients as they really went above and beyond the scope of the tour.

If you’re tired of travelling with busloads of fellow tourists then a small boutique tour with The Italian on Tour is the perfect solution. Chantelle and Giovanni have put together a wonderful introduction to the region they call home based around the beautiful town and province – Ascoli Piceno.

I was travelling solo for the first time, but they made it entirely comfortable and made me feel very welcome. They take groups of up to 8 (ours was 6) and because you base yourself in Ascoli there is no packing and unpacking every day. Each day is a mix of wineries, culture, cooking classes, long lunches, local sites and beautiful views.

There’s plenty of time for yourself, and Chantelle and Giovanni take the time to show you anything that you have a particular interest in. If you want to do some extra shopping they’ll happily show you their favourite places. This is relaxed touring with a personalised touch where you are meeting the winemakers or producers. This is where the tour operators live and work, so they have relationships with the people you meet that go beyond herding people in with the hope they will buy merchandise. Every experience feels very authentic.

Ascoli itself was a great base for the tour. As a solo traveller it felt very safe. I was completely comfortable wandering around by myself in my free time.

Having been to Italy multiple times, no other experience compares to the one provided by Giovanni & Chantelle. With their local knowledge we were able to experience foods & restaurants we otherwise would not have discovered on our own.
Being keen cyclists, Giovanni personally guided us on one of his favourite training rides and went above and beyond by organizing everything in advance including the bike rentals and lunch for the ride (he had ordered paninos from his local deli which we stopped to pick up on our ride out of town..and boy were the paninos something to remember..freshly baked bread, top quality proscuitto & asiago cheese).
Le Marche was a new region to us and it has all the beauty of Tuscany but with a more laid back feel to it. We will definitely be back for more!
